The York County Solid Waste Authority recently appointed Amy Burkart to the position of part-time Community Services Specialist.
 
Amy is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of educational programming for local schools and organizations, conducting tours of the York County Resource Recovery Center, editing and production of brochures, media packets, press releases and other informational materials; researching new information essential to programs and media materials; planning and implementing special events and representing the Authority at community events. 
 
Prior to joining the Authority, Amy served as the Executive Assistant and Sales Team Coordinator for Industrial Distribution Group in York.  Amy graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College.  Amy resides in Mount Wolf, York County.
