MUNICIPAL DROP-OFF RECYCLING
Municipal Drop-off Recycling Programs
The following municipalities operate drop-off recycling programs. Please call ahead to confirm program availability.

Chanceford Township
Accepting aluminum and tin cans, plastic and glass bottles. Open Monday-Friday, 6AM to 1:30PM; first Saturday of each month 10AM to 2PM. No Fee. Township residents ONLY. Call the municipal office at 927-6401 for more information.

City of York
Accepting yard waste (no grass). Open from 10AM - 2PM the first Saturday of each month (April - December) weather permitting. York City residents/curbside customers only. Must show proof of residency or curbside customer status, such as a driver's license or sewer bill. Call the city office at 849-2235 for more information. No fee.

Codorus Township
Accepting plastics #'s 1 & 2, aluminum, bi-metal and aerosol cans. No newspaper. Open to township residents ONLY seven days a week during daylight hours. No fee. Call April Rehbein at 235-4634 for more information.

Dover Township
Accepting Brush and leaves Saturdays from 8AM - 4PM. Township residents only. Call the township office at 292-3634 for more information.

Fairview Township
Accepting yard waste and electronics. Call 717-901-5261 for more information.

Fawn Township
Accepting aluminum and bi-metal cans, #1 and #2 plastics. NO PAPER. Open fourth weekend of each month, all hours. No Fee. Township residents ONLY. Call municipal office at 382-4834 for more information.

Franklin Township
Accepting aluminum and bi-metal cans, newspaper. Open Saturdays 9:30AM to 11:30AM. No Fee. EVERYONE WELCOME. Call the township at 432-3773 or Kim Sebastin at 420-0230 for more information.

Hanover Borough
Accepting cardboard, glass, aluminum and bimetal cans and newspaper. Open to borough residents ONLY Monday through Friday from 8AM to 3PM and the second Saturday of the month from 8AM to 4PM and the fourth Saturday of the month from 8AM to Noon. No fee. Lower Chanceford Township
Accepting plastics #'s 1-7 with necks smaller than their bases; clear, brown and green glass food and beverage containers; aluminum beverage cans, steel food and beverage cans, aerosol cans; cardboard, paperboard, food boxes, office paper, newspaper & inserts, magazines and catalogs, junk mail & envelopes, paper bags, phone books, paper towel and toilet paper rolls, pizza boxes. Call the township office at 862-3589 for operation dates and times.

Lower Windsor Township
Accepting aluminum and bi-metal cans, glass, plastics. Open seven days a week/24-hours a day. No Fee. Open to residents only. Call Trish Smeltzer at 244-6813 for more information. ALSO ACCEPTED: Residents of Lower Windsor Township and East Prospect and Yorkana Boroughs may bring brush and small branches to the drop-off site at the rear of the Lower Windsor Township Maintenance Building, 111 Walnut Valley Court. The brush is chipped and is available at no charge to residents on a first-come, first-served basis. DO NOT BRING stumps, roots, or grass clippings. Call the township office to request mulch.

Manchester Township
York County Solid Waste Authority Public Drop-off Center. Click here for items accepted and more information. EVERYONE WELCOME. No fee.

North York Borough

Peach Bottom Township
Open to township residents ONLY the second Saturday of each month during daylight hours. No fee. Call Catherine Bilger at 456-5083 for information on what is accepted.

Penn Township
Accepts newspaper, magazines and cardboard. EVERYONE WELCOME. Open Monday through Friday 8AM to 4PM and Saturdays 8AM to 3PM. No fee. Call 717-632-7366 for more information.

Red Lion Borough
Accepting tree limbs and brush and electronics at borough garage location, 1 Vulcan Road Red Lion, PA. Call 717-244-2567 to make arrangements for drop-off.

Shrewsbury Township
Accepting cardboard. Call the township office at 235-3011 for more information.

Springfield Township
Accepting glass, aluminum and bi-metal cans, plastics #'s 1&2, cardboard and newspaper. Open to township residents ONLY the first weekend of every month. No fee. Call the township office at 428-1413 for more information.

Spring Grove Borough
Accepting newspaper and cardboard. Call the borough office at 225-5791 for more information.

Washington Township
Accepting aluminum and bi-metal cans, glass, newspaper, #1 and #2 plastics, metal, cardboard, clothing, white paper. Open first and third Saturday of each month, 9AM to 11AM. No Fee. Township residents ONLY. Call Donna Rupp at 432-9814 for more information.

Wrightsville Borough
Accepting mixed paper, white goods, metal. Call the borough office at 252-2768 for more information.

York Township
Accepting yard waste (tree branches, limbs and other like material. No leaves). Held the first Saturday of the month from 7AM to 11:30AM. If a holiday falls on that weekend, the program will be held the second Saturday of the month. Shredded material provided free to residents. Contact the Public Works Department for more information: 741-3861, ext. 170.
